We want to thank all of our volunteers who keep the Methow Valley Interpretive Center humming along. Openings currently exist for:

  • Docent: Receive training to work with the public on weekends.  2-½ hours twice a month.
  • Native Garden help needed including weeding, raking, etc.  Any time!
  • Research: Artifacts, photos, documents, need to be researched. catagorized and entered into a database. Some items can be done at home.

  1. Hi, my name is Joe Apffel. I’m interested in volunteering for the Center. I’m 72, a retired teacher of Science and Math, and have had a cabin in the upper Rendezvous since 1978. Since retiring a few years ago I’ve been a permanent residence of the Valley. I’m looking for an opportunity to get more involved with the great community we have here, and I think my interests align well with the Center’s. I’m not great at prolonged stoop work (ie. weeding) but have done lots of research and worked with databases, and could also contribute as a dosen. Please let me know if there’s anything I can do to help.
